Every question people ask before they begin.

The practice

A presence consultant works on the gap between who you are and how the world currently sees you. The work covers image, executive presence, social culture and AI for branding and business, because these things together are what a room actually reads when it reads you. Most people address one of them at a time with different professionals. This practice integrates all of them, because the rooms you walk into test all of them simultaneously.

Image is one of four pillars, not the whole practice. A stylist chooses clothes. This practice builds a visual identity, then layers executive presence, social fluency and strategic personal positioning on top. The result is not a better wardrobe. It is a person the room reads differently.

Most coaches work on mindset. Most stylists work on clothes. Most etiquette consultants work on rules. This practice works on all of it simultaneously, because the room experiences all of it simultaneously. The integration is the differentiator, and it comes from over ten years in marketing, a WSET qualification in wines, an engineering background and the specific ability to see how all four signals combine into a single impression.

Yes. Arpita is a certified Train the Trainer and soft skills facilitator, and works with corporates, colleges, schools and individuals on soft skills topics of any kind: communication, emotional intelligence, public speaking, team dynamics and more. These sessions are designed around what the group or individual actually needs, independent of the four licensed programmes.

A separate, private service for small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs who want to build their brand, marketing and business using AI, the way Arpita built her own practice. It is not a licensed cohort programme. It is offered strictly one to one, in a very limited number of slots, because the work is specific to each business. Mention it on the discovery call, or write to presence.arpitamehta@gmail.com.

Who it is for

Executives, founders, managers, brides, homemakers, graduates, doctors, lawyers, pilots, teachers, diplomats and people entering a new chapter of any kind. The common thread is not an industry or a life stage. It is a gap between who they are and how the world currently sees them, and the decision to close it.

Completely. Presence is not a corporate skill, it is a life skill. The work is equally relevant for someone preparing for an arranged introduction, a bride entering a new family and social circle, a homemaker returning to visible life, a graduate entering their first job, or anyone who feels the gap between how they are seen and who they actually are. Any room, any context.

Very much so. How you carry yourself in a first meeting is a form of presence, and it is learnable. The work covers entering and holding a room, dressing for a meeting that matters, conducting conversation with composure and warmth, and coming across as yourself rather than a nervous version of yourself.

Often the most. Senior professionals are the ones most likely to have a gap they cannot see from the inside, because nobody around them has the standing or the reason to name it. The work at this level is typically precise: one or two specific signals that are quietly costing rooms, addressed directly.

Yes. The return to visible professional or social life after stepping back is one of the most meaningful transitions this practice works with. The gap is real, the nervousness is completely understandable, and the work is the same as it is for anyone: understanding how you are currently read, and building the image, presence and fluency that matches who you are now.

Yes. The work is for anyone with a gap between who they are and how the world sees them. Wardrobe architecture, executive presence and social fluency have no gender. Many of the most significant transformations in the practice have been with men navigating high-stakes professional rooms, social introductions or a new chapter.

How to begin

The Presence Quotient is a sixteen-question assessment that measures four dimensions: image, executive presence, social culture and distinction. It produces a score out of one hundred, a band and a private four-page PDF scorecard naming your biggest gap and what Arpita would prioritise if she were beginning with you. It is the fastest way to understand where you stand before any conversation, and most people find the result uncomfortably accurate.

It is self-reported, so it is as honest as you are. Most people find that answering carefully produces a result that matches what they have privately suspected for some time. It is designed to name things, not flatter them. If a result surprises you, that surprise itself is useful information.

Fifteen minutes, online, from anywhere. A direct conversation about where you are, what you want to change and whether the practice is the right fit. No pitch, no pressure. If it is not the right fit, she will say so. The fee is Rs. 339.

Thirty minutes with Arpita in Delhi, face to face. The most direct way to understand how you are currently read and where the work would begin. It is a session in its own right, not a consultation attached to a programme. The fee is Rs. 4,499.

Yes. Online sessions are available for clients across India and internationally. For in-person work outside Delhi, the scope and logistics are discussed on the discovery call.

Yes. As a certified Train the Trainer and soft skills facilitator, Arpita designs group training for corporates, colleges and schools on presence topics such as executive presence and business dining culture, and on soft skills more broadly: communication, emotional intelligence, public speaking and team dynamics. The session is built around where the group actually needs the work. Write to presence.arpitamehta@gmail.com with the group size and context.

The programmes

The Presence Edit (image consulting), The Executive Edge (executive presence), The Social Table (wine, dining and social culture) and The Debut (campus to corporate) are Arpita's four licensed programmes. Each runs as a structured cohort with fixed seats, launched approximately twice a year.

Write to presence.arpitamehta@gmail.com naming the programme you are interested in, and you will receive the details, dates and enrolment information for the next available cohort.

That is what one to one presence consulting is for. It is fully customised: a combination of image consulting, executive presence work and soft skills modules such as vocal and verbal communication or emotional intelligence, built around exactly what you need, on your own timeline, independent of the licensed programme calendar.

The Presence Quotient or a discovery call usually answers this. If your gap is broad and you have time, a licensed programme is a structured, cohort-based way to work through it. If you want to begin now, or your need is specific, one to one consulting starts immediately and is shaped entirely around you.

The Debut is the campus to corporate licensed programme for graduates and freshers in the first chapter of professional life. It covers interview presence, professional image, workplace etiquette and first-impression fluency, and runs as a structured cohort approximately twice a year. For ongoing or individual campus to corporate work outside that calendar, one to one consulting or a college workshop is the route. Parents who want to invest in a child's launch often initiate the conversation.

Results and process

The results are specific to each person's gap and context, which is why no generic claim is made here. What clients consistently describe is a shift in how rooms receive them: being listened to more closely, being taken more seriously, and feeling that how they are seen finally matches who they are. Some get the promotion. Some get the client. Some simply stop dreading the rooms they used to shrink in.

Some signals shift in the first session. A change in voice pace, a new posture, a wardrobe decision made with intention rather than habit: these are felt immediately. The deeper changes, the ones that hold under pressure and in unfamiliar rooms, take longer. Sustainable change is the goal, not a performance that fades by the following week.

Both. In-person sessions are in Delhi. Online sessions are available for clients anywhere. Some work, such as detailed image consulting and table fluency training, is best done in person. Other modules translate fully to video. The format is decided based on what produces the best result for each client.

Completely. Every engagement is private by design. Arpita does not discuss clients, does not reference client work publicly and does not use client outcomes as case studies. The discretion is not a policy. It is the only way the work is possible.

The personal questions

Learned. Entirely. The people who seem to have been born with it were, in almost every case, born into environments that taught it early: families with strong social codes, schools with high expectations, cultures where presentation was taken seriously. Everyone else was simply waiting for the right teacher. This practice exists for exactly that.

Completely normal, and worth naming. Most people have been told at some point that caring about these things is shallow. The reframe that changes everything: you are not trying to become someone else. You are removing everything that distracts from who you already are. The work is not performance. It is alignment.

No. It will change how clearly who you are comes through. Presence work at its best does not add a layer. It removes the ones that have been obscuring you: the nervous habits, the unconsidered wardrobe, the social awkwardness that makes rooms underestimate you. What is left is more you, not less.

If you are reading this page, you probably already know. The question is usually not readiness. It is the decision to stop waiting for something that was never going to be handed to you. The discovery call exists to make the first step as low-friction as possible.

The fastest route is a discovery call or the in-person session, both bookable directly on this site. For corporate enquiries or specific questions before booking, write to presence.arpitamehta@gmail.com. She reads everything.

Still Have Questions

The fastest answer is a fifteen-minute call. Or a sixteen-question score.

Both tell you more than this page can.
